i have a mixture of both, i enjoy blue fringe, moshav, shwekey, Aish and decent stuff, not rubbish.
My non-jewish, is usher, eminem, counting crows, Red hot chillies, linkin park, avril lavigne, steriophonics oh shizzle loads more cant remember them all. And surprisingly sum classical wen im in the mood.
Music is prob my greatest source of comfort to me now days, and its amazing wut it does for me.

i can't do the jewish music thing. my music needs to be something i lyrically connect with- and jewish songs i definately don't- and/or have a great sound which to be is crappy 3 power chord punk rock. throw in some horns sometimes and we'll ska it up too. but jewish music is just not my thing.

Some of you people act like it's a bad thing to listen to non-Jewish music. I think Jewish music is the most boring music next to Ska. It really is repetative. I'd only listen to it if you got Rob Halford to sing it. That'd be shweet!

i only listen to jewish music but i don't think its bad to listen to non-jewish music. it's just a descicision i made for my self. i didnt mean to insult anyone. also, when i say jewish music - i don't mean only hebrew music where everyone sings the same songs over and over. blue fringe, for example, comes up with their own songs and their music (including their hebrew songs) are more like pop / rock than classical boring stuff.

omg, jewish music is.so.boring.i see people go nuts to it but i cant force myself to get into to something i dont ike, so im mostly in with the group in the corner of the room just hanging out.

anyways, so music faves are from all over the spectrum. mostly what i reely hate is rap, hiphop and R&B. What I love is:

None of the bands you listed there were actually grunge. Alice In Chains were metal to begin with. Someone accidently put them in the same category with lowly Nirvana.

Not attacking you here. Just trying to clarify someone's blind belief that Alice In Chains were grunge.

i mean it's one thing to get heated over issues such as homosexuality, relgion, or drugs or whatever but music is supposed to be something you share a connection with people over if anything. my music has brought me together with a lot of people who are really cool. its a bonding thing if anything not something to fight over. of course everyone will have different prefrences and that's just fine. but i think music discussions are fun to talk about what you LIKE not what you HATE.
