Just because he is taking another girl to homecoming doesn't always mean that he is spoken for. he may not like this girl very much, and there's a chance if you still tell him that you like him, that he would just drop what he had with this other chick and go for you. and if you are still going to say that you do, it's your choice to do it before or after homecoming, i suggest before.

while ur sitting back and letting him come to you just be really into it whenever he does talk to you :] i might not be the best one to be telling u this bcs i just got my first real bf... but thats how i did it x] i spent the last several years with braces and was rlly rlly shy. im a lot more confident now that theyre off but i feel like i wasted all that time being shy :[ if i was still as shy as i was last year i probably wouldnt be with the guy i am now. i think sitting back is a good idea, just show him ur into it when he talks to you and dont be afraid to talk to him on ur own. just try not to give him too much special attention if he doesnt show interest in return. good luck :]

Yeah I took a punch told him I liked him and he made it very clear he likes me as a really good FRIEND. I still don't get it...but what ever.
